Those children had nothing to do with Hafiz Saeed either. When you endorse the murder of our children, spewing hatred is a reasonable and expected response. Take your bullshit somewhere else.yes but HS did the man you let roll around spewing hatred for Hindus and Indians so you go to hell! I don't give a shit about your people or country when you scum came to ours killing our children and women.
Perfect - Raheel Sharif has certainly got the right balance between offense, diplomacy and clandestinity, dealing with the situation quite well till now. Inshallah it'll work out well.
Any source for the PAF squadron? What are they using, F-16s or JF-17s? Any choppers for a proper mop up or are they expecting Afghani AA fire?
Yes I brought it first to highlight the action needed from the government whose people are involved in terror activities. My point is to highlight that tese terrorists are of no one, the are neither state actors nor non-state actors..So just eliminate them.
How about you answer the questions I asked instead of breaking into another love letter for Nawaz Sharif. We all know who's really running the show in Pakistan. And Raheel Sharif knows diplomacy quite well, he's been doing it for a while now.Well Gen. Raheel's an awesome guy but he ain't no superman. He doesn't know diplomacy, nor does he write a check for all these expenses in his bedroom from his personal account. For that, he's working with the Civilian Government, who has assured him to foot the bill all the way. The General's JOB is to make it happen. If the civilian government hadn't been doing the tremendous amounts of work to bring in investments, this operation would be hard to do due to billions in expenses. And you may STILL be trying to talk to the Taliban yet again. The Civilian government owns these operations. The military just executes these.
Yon readily discredit the Civilian Government who's the real force behind all this providing funding. No General or Army can fight a war without weapons with empty stomach.....the Civilian Government has built over $ 150 billion worth investment pipeline, majority of which will flow through if peace and stability can be implemented.
That's the goal Gen. Raheel had. Smart team doesn't keep using the same players everywhere. Smart leaders use their resources in their best capacity and where they'll make the most impact. That's why you see a play of good cop (Civilian Government) and the bad cop ( the military). Talking and diplomacy through the civilians backed up by harsh action from the military, I.e. carrot and the stick!

Of course, ambassadors and diplomats are required, he can't do everything himself.
As for investments, I've already proven to you how BS that is. The operations are being conducted with Pakistan's usual GDP (which exists without NS's magical investments, in case you didn't know) because clearly those investments haven't contributed to much

Can Nawaz Sharif fix the economy? - Newspaper - DAWN.COM
And no, you can't blame the sit-ins for it.
The only serious investment has been from China, which has been investing a lot during Musharraf and Zardari's terms too. Nothing to do with NS's wizardry.
PML-N’s financial wizardry - Sayem Z Ali
And 150 billion dollars 'pipeline'? Where'd you pull that figure from? The only source I found for that figure was this:
Pakistan needs investment of $150 billion by 2020 - Business - DAWN.COM
And it says 'NEEDS' (i.e Pakistan doesn't have it) and it was written before the elections, during Zardari's government.
''Pakistan has already attracted investment from 100 new Multinational companies over the past five years''
Past five years = Zardari government. Not NS and not recent, so its irrelevant.
Otherwise, if you have any other source, please do share it instead of making stuff up out of your love for Nawaz Sharif. The IMF, World Bank and media outlets are an infinitely more reliable source than you, and they disagree with you.
Anyways, those questions I asked: Are they using F-16s or JF-17s? Are they planning to send choppers or are they expecting Afghan AA fire? They've been discussing this with the Afghans and the ISAF, will they co operate or not?
Calling the mods on me? Cheap tactic. You brought in an argument, I refuted that arguments and requested you to move on by answering my questions, since you seem to believe you have more knowledge on that matter. Can you take this 'I hate NS and love Imran Khan' drama to a thread focusing on IK, NS and the political BS you call 'leadership'??? You just derailed a thread like a dynamite changes a river's water flow.
@Horus , @WebMaster : please see the post above. Could we make sure people don't bring up their political affiliations in every single thread irrespective of the topic? Paid propaganda shouldn't be allowed in every thread....

'Paid propaganda' - very cheap attempt to discredit my argument. Do you mean to say that Business Recorder, Daily Times, Dawn, TheNews and World Bank are all paid by someone to make the 'civilian government' look bad?
Your answer (post #65): Army is nothing without civilian government, Raheel doesn't know diplomacy, NS has brought 150 billion dollars 'pipeline', ''you readily discredit the civilian government'', you'd be negotiating with the Taliban if it wasn't for the wonderful civilian government [and so on]....'':
He's no superman but his style sure is admirable. I addressed this a while ago, in one of my posts here:Your post number 60 made sure you clearly show that Gen. Raheel is political, diplomatic, a general and a master of all and now that he is involved, it'll all be ok ( A superman indeed who can do it all. Not sure why such a large government exists if one man can do it all). That's a wrong impression to give.
I'm afraid though, that even a man like him could make mistakes under the extreme burden that has been placed on his shoulders. That's why most countries got rid of the one-man show system decades ago, because one General or Leader alone can not perform if he doesn't have the backing of politicians and the population.
My only issue with Nawaz Sharif is that I lived- and suffered- under his government for over a decade, in his most 'beloved' city Lahore. And no, I have no ethnic issues. I am not a pathan (i know you hate them), I'm a pure Lahori Punjabi - same ethnicity and same city as NS.I know from your posts you hate NS / the current gov't and have personal or ethnic issues with him (not discussing in this thread). So when you, out of your own bias would misrepresent something and I can see it, I'll correct you. Doesn't mean I am taking sides, I am just showing reality, which you interpret as 'loving NS' and all that crap.
Yes, I never denied that they're working closely and that it is good for Pakistan. As far as I am concerned, both the government and the military are working extremely closely and it's good for Pakistan to get rid of this evil called Taliban terrorists. Between Pakistan and significant peace and economic growth, these bastar*ds with weapons and militias killing innocents have become the biggest roadblock. So both parties (military and the a Civilian government) have divided responsibility like a team. This is probably the first time in the history of Pakistan that an elected government is working this closely with the military. This trend should continue and Pakistan should grow.
All good then - not sure how trustworthy the Afghans are, their track record isn't exactly stellar, but it's a good development. On the other hand, the. -16 they had readied for potential cross border hot pursuits are now standing down. The warning worked and the Afghans have started a similar operation on their side to kill or capture these terrorists. They have also agreed to extradite the mastermind of these barbaric attacks on children when or if he's caught.
He's no superman but his style sure is admirable.

The reason I interpret your version of 'reality' as love for him is because your 'reality' contradicts the World Bank, IMF, every media outlet and, most importantly, the ground reality in Pakistan - that people in Lahore don't have gas for their heaters and stoves, they don't have electricity, they don't have justice; forget about it being 'like Venice'. They don't have any of the things NS claims to have brought.
All good then - not sure how trustworthy the Afghans are, their track record isn't exactly stellar, but it's a good development.
. But the Nato's commanding officer is working with the Pak Army. So chances of lying or failure aren't a lot. Not after the Peshawer incidentPakistan should learn from Afghanistan and eliminate India-centric terrorist organizations like LET from its soil.
Yeah, he certainly won't be repeating his predecessors' mistakes.I agree (for once) that Gen. Raheel is a good guy and a real leader and a man of honor. Unlike Mushy the Kushy, this guy will do anything to protect the military 's honor and dignity intact and will run it as a real professional institute focused on defending Pakistan.
When there isn't anything to implicate them in a situation, bringing up conspiracy theories about a specific ethnicity is irrational, which can be easily and reasonably interpreted as hatred. But writing something about a specific ethnicity with regards to a situation isn't hate. It's the situation.
Aside from the World bank and news outlets, my family in friends in Pakistan too, disagree with that. There are no solid results. You hear about investments (which tend to vanish quite frequently ; see PML-N’s financial wizardry) and mega-projects (also riddled with issues) on TV and ads but you need to drag around gas cylinders for miles just to be able to cook food. It was the same in Zardari's term, same now. PMLN might have a better PR team, but the situation on the ground is pretty much the same.I am seeing results from where I stand
Very well, fingers crossed for the end of Fazlullah - the headline should be ''Radio silenced''On Afghans, well the squadron is 'standing down', not sent to Turkey for exercise. It'll take three hours to re-arm those and put them back on hot scramble. But the Nato's commanding officer is working with the Pak Army. So chances of lying or failure aren't a lot. Not after the Peshawer incident
