Five MQM workers get life sentence for police van attack

KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday sentenced five workers of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) to life in prison for an attack on a police van in Karachi.

The convicts Irfan alias Unit In-Charge, Farhan alias DSP, Faisal Naseer alias Kachu, Shahzad and Shahbaz ud Din, had attacked a mobile of Korangi Police Station in 2013.

The suspects had been arrested following a shootout with police. – SAMAA
