about arms supply,India never provides much details.its right groups who found that much arms were supplied to Myanmar secretly.India provided Helo,Trucks and Jeeps and other utility vehicles to Afghanistan.but its more like a hush hush affair.of course nobody brag about this things openly.its quite foolhardy that Karzai openly posted its wish list.

LOL, neither. These are for low level ground support only. Even the Thunderbolt flies slow and low (albeit carrying a huge weapons load and tech in it). Afghanistan simply doesn't need such a heavy duty ground support plane. Dealing with teams of 10-15 Talibastards don't require a squadron of F-16's block 60 if you know what I mean.

Killing an enemy's "ant" with a missile instead of one of your shoe is .....an overkill. A brother from SF once told me this and I loved his analogy.

Buy a couple of South Korean FA 50 that act as trainer as well a super sonic aircraft with similar capabilities of F16s. But as other posters said, Afghanistan is too poor and is right now busy fighting the Taliban, that is the most immediate concern right now.

If NATO could not stop Taliban after 13-years of military campaign, Afghans with their superior Tucanos going to do so on their own?
