Good if true. Yemen cannot escape geography or history, it will always be a part of KSA’ sphere of influence and part of the same Arab family. Outside troublemakers should not use it as a launchpad to target KSA as this has failed and will continue to fail.

The only reason why KSA has not bombed Yemen back to prehistoric times is due to Yemen being an Arab neighbour. KSA has the firepower to raze every large North Yemeni city to the ground just using its air force alone.

I think Yemen is to KSA like Afghanistan is to NATO.

A place where test weapons and train soldiers with impunity, because they can't defend themselves.

KSA military spending is the biggest of Muslim countries, all that spending is useless if you dont test your caps in a real war scenario.

As far as I know, KSA doesn’t send a lot of Saudi troops. The Saudi Air Force rules the sky, on the ground they mainly use mercenaries, among them many Sudanese. Why let your own soldiers die, if you can pay others to die for you?

Both Iran and Saudi are too weak/frightened to fight a direct conflict. So let’s do it over Yemen and let those poor people die.
