Feeling sad for poor people of hindi belt

I am writing this after reading that 3 migrants from poor states of hindi belt were killed by militants in Jammu and Kashmir...I was surprised to know that there are workers in kashmir from other parts of India..I found these workers are mostly from poor states of chattisgarh,jharkhand,Bihar,UP,Madhya Pradesh,Odisha and West Bengal...

Imagine how dirt poor those states must have been for these people to go and work in a state which is full of hosiile population.
I live in a small city down in south India..even here many construction contractors are bringing workers from the above mentioned poor states..and these people are given accomodation in buildings which are in the process of being constructed ..without electricity..without raised walls..just a roof ..you will not find any locals here who would be prepared to stay in such miserable conditions....these people work for half the payment that local labourers get here...these are cheap labour..

This is the situation across south india,punjab ,Maharashtra and Gujarat..these people migrate to every state and work so hard for paltry wages. These people dont even send their children to schools(I saw a few families right in front of my house)...

On the one hand I am glad these people are getting opportunities to feed themselves at least in other states and on the other hand it saddens me that their govts have failed them to an extent that they roam around the country for work leading miserable lives...their governments are responsible for the killings of those 3 innocent labourers.

These states were the richest when agriculture was the main stay of the old world and as a result of their agriculture their population per capita is also huge, most of the indian produce doesnt come from south india, rather these poor states, so these states are feeding entire indian country. The central indian government is also responsible for the poverty in northern india, for instance, their focus of development are not these states but other states as mentioned for instance south india, gujarat, one bihari was providing me an example of how the federal govt refused to construct a dam on the river which floods the plains annually and the people associated with agriculture are forced to migrate to other states in search of work and money. If these states start selling their produce on expensive rates, then it will help their situation but will cause inflation in rest of india. They also lack mineral deposits and mining and lack of other resources causes poverty.

These agricultural lands should be converted into IT or other sectors because surely the agriculture is not helping them survive.

And who has to do all the things you said? Their governments...of course people in the government come from the society they represent...so, it is a collective failure of govts and people there..when a state like gujarat, which was once known for famines, can develop, why cant these states?

you can blame their govt if they are independent states not part of one country. If you dont like them, why not set them free? had ample opportunity to make tamil land etc in 1947.

Who said we dont like them?read my post again..I was sympathetic to them but its high time their govts did something.
