Lufthansa made one of her Boeing 747-8i the official Siegerflieger (victory airplane) for our national team. That aircraft brought them to Brazil and today also brought them home. It was a bombastic flight. It even went deep over Berlin over the millions of visitors and made a spectacular landing. :D

weird name fanhansa lol.....

Hansa = Swan in Sanskrit and German...

Fan = You know the meaning....

FanHansa = Bird that flies the fans (of the world cup)

Even Luft Hansa is basic Sanskrit
Luft = Flying in Sanskrit
Hansa = Swan

LuftHansa = Flying Swan

Umm, No. Hansa comes from the word Hanseatic League, a powerful guild of city-states around the North Sea and Baltics. Nothing to do with goose, as it's known as Gans not Hans.

Your a German citizens now....right ? :what:
Nope! I have no intentions about relinquishing my Indian passport.:no:

wrong. Hansa comes from the Hanseatic League. . A german sea guild.

It has nothing to do with a goose or with sanskrit

Oh yeah I forgot....India still has that thing !

Thankfully whoseover decided on Dual Nationalities in Pakistan looked at it from a more liberal perspective ! :)

Though I too can't bear the thought of swearing allegiance to another country even if it means that I get to keep my passport - Its an emotional thing....not so much a rational thing !

Yes they do...but its not exactly what I would call delectable...

On the other hand...the Japanese have mastered the art of curry rice...I literally eat it every other day in the winter...amazing is one of the words to describe it!

It w

as already explained that Hansa does not come from sanskrit. Lufthansa is a german airline with a pure german name.

And Currywurst is disgusting btw

If german is derived from Sanskrit, obviously you will have some words that overlap identically...

Now we cant sit here and play chicken and egg scenario to satisfy egos...

Yes, I have even seen the Japanese using the term garam masala in the Japanese cuisine. :sarcastic::sarcastic:

I mean its all hunky dory with the blue passport until you have to get a fucking visa for literally every country....barring Jamaica..

Which is why Jamaica is like my second home...we indians love the Jamaicans and they love us back...visa or no visa!!
