When life hits you in the worst way, when a person is neck deep in crap and everything that can go wrong-does go wrong, thats when a man's character is known. Thats when the emotional and psychological growth takes place. Thats when the faith is tested.

The man had the whole world against him, just as you mentioned but bear in mind he had God on his side, still he chose the cowards way. He had belief in God's justice but didn't have faith in God that God will get his name cleared. God puts respect in hearts of people, but that man didn't wait for that time based on faith.

Instead of putting matters in god's hands, he took matters in his own hands and committed suicide.

You have right to your opinion. My alarm was at lenght you spoke about his choice and not being sensitive to his mothers feelings.

Try to be careful in your words and refrain from judgements as none of us are naozubillah God. Think of the man gone as your brother to make sure others dont suffer the same fate (his mother and estranged wife).

you are right but its not easy. i just mentioned a hadith . and this hadith is either in sahi muslim or bukhari. i myself read it. do you think that the person who accepted islam against all odds in makkah didnt have enough faith and courage? do you think that he made hijra and left everything in makkah without having enough faith and character? do you think that he went to a battle against an enemy three times larger and fought bravely and got injured without having enough faith and character? he got wounded at the will of Allah almighty. every individual has certain areas of strength and weakness. some people can face loss of wealth but for them loss of honor is a huge matter. others are good at sacrificing honor while saving their wealth and we see plenty of such people in our society. imam ahmad bin hanbal was severely beaten up by the caliph of the time forcing him to change how views but he resisted and faced all the physical torture.but when the caliph offered him lot of wealth he prayed to Allah to please give him strength to face this trial as it is more difficult for him.
we cant call others as weak or coward. every individual has been given a set of qualities and weaknesses by Allah almighty and we all we be judged accordingly. that's why none of us will be compared with anyone else in the next world and we will come in front of Allah almighty alone. Allah knows what abilities and weaknesses He installed in a particular human being. some have more element of patience others have more element of hardwork. some have physical strength others have mental strength. some have more IQ others have more capability to work hard.
yes we can change things to an extent by our will but sometimes life becomes very hard for some people. imagine a muslim migrant from syria.losing everything and children drowning in mediteranean sea lands in europe with nothing in his hands. faces humiliation there. dont judge all the people with same standard. the beauty of judgment of Allah almighty in the next world is that He will consider everything .

Firstly, stop with this judgement paranoia, this is getting lame now. If you are alarmed - thats good coz a man committed suicide instead of standing his ground when he knew he was right and didnt commit that act he was accused of. Some women are evil. They do not think what the impact of their accusations will be. So easy to use sex as a weapon. This also give good women who have been harassed a bad name

Im more concerned about the guy who is no more in this world. I strongly feel that he should have stood up against this accusation till the matter was resolved. He gave up too easily. He threw away his life and that is tragic. I am sure had he stood his ground, he would have succeeded in his endeavors to prove himself innocent.

Suicide is life over for him - he should not have given up. If you think suicide is the solution to the problems then im addressing the wrong crowd.

It depend what type or kind or in what circumstances one commit Suicide … If a woman after her honor commit suicide one can one call it haram ??
In the same way professor lost his honor …………… Now Allah Will be the Judge on Judgment Day and HE Will Surely Do Justice not only on That Day but HE Will Surely make example out of culprits in this world..
