Sweden says its hunt for a phantom submarine in the Baltic sea is entering what it calls 'a new phase'.

The country is actually scaling back the search after 6 days of their biggest military mobilisation in decades.

@A.P. Richelieu

LOL facepalm

Yeah..not found, doesent mean it was never there or still isnt, although I agree its media hype but its not representative of a people, you know how the media jumps on any story and the last time Russian ships sailed near those waters a few of them broke down. You might think theres alot of media attention from a few articles but it isnt, stories of dogs generally have more news articles about them than Russia, as the media knows what moronic people like.

wrong its people like you drive war with your hysteria against Russia, showing puppies and cats is what media should show instead curving up a second cold war

What drives war is invading and occupying sovereign territories, supporting insurgencies and
operations inside the territorial waters of other countries.

And BTW:
The cost of keeping Swedish peacekeeping troops in Afghanistan was about 1000 x the cost of this exercise.
Sending some Gripen aircrafts to help with reconnaisance over Libya was about 10 x the cost of this.

How did Stalin slip into this thread? Grapping at straws much, ey?

What You call fear mongering, I call investigations.

Whenever the public gets themselves involved in providing leads, you are going to have
a number which is totally unrelated to the main issue.

You, through false logic, seems to want to prove that because one lead is false,
then the whole affair is false.

A good example of what happens when you don't take clues seriously is the week
before June 22nd, where Stalin really shows his incompetence.
But since you and logic does not mix well, you probably fail to see that.

Investigation should normally be done calmly. What your gov did was nothing short of fear mongering, sensationalist and propagandistic. Why not reveal it once you have proof that it was Russian submarine introding into your water?

The whole thing is "officially" based on observations by "thrustworthy" civilians.
My guess, former Navy officers, living in the archipelago.

It is therefore not surprising, that the Swedish Press got hold of this early.

The government, contrary to what you claim has not said that much.
It would not be the first time, they keep information secret.
It may be that nothing was found, or a deal was made with the owner of the submarine.
Maybe a submersible robot painted a Swedish flag on the submarine as a warning,

The Press may of course get additional information through leaks. happens everywhere.
You can always accuse the press of sensationalism. Thats what they do.

With the current aggressive behaviour of Russian Armed forces and PROVED Russian
violations of Airspace of most neighbouring countries, Russian submarines inside the territorial waters of other countries would just confirm the common perception of Russia. Would not be sensational.

If Russia does not want bad press, then Russia should start to behave according to
International Law.
