the real bullets needed to kill this insurgency is development and social liberalism, these are our own people who have been mistreated by the central gov't these areas are inhabited by the Adivasis people who basically live in the stone age. my view is to help the poor in these areas and wipe out the communist scum using poverty as an excuse to fight.

No Sajjad Shaukat, the maoists do not have mass support. If they did, they can simply win elections as their goal is coming to power. Its a leftover of those idiots who followed gun to implement communism 50 years ago and they can not be 'defeated' at all as they are in deep vast jungles of india and do not fight conventionally. Its a silly belief among some that sending in the army will take care of this issue, it will not.

They have been around some 50 years, we can not wish them away or fight a war with them. Their defeat is in the fact that even after claiming to represent the poor, they do not have mass support. They routinely kill people because they do not pay 'taxes' to maoists, they are nothing but the kind of thugs who committed all kinds of atrocities and social experiments on their own people, they will not win. Even China had to discard mao after millions dead and only then china made progress.

The point is, there is an ideological factor here, and no strategy can change people motivated by ideology, something we all witness in India's neighborhood daily. Thankfully, common people in India are not motivated by ideologies. So despite your touching concern, your daily prayers will not be answered.
