Am not doubting the bolded part, as i have not seen a single image of this.. but incursion into another state of another country is a message that India has never given before.. and one cannot deny that...

Still will wait for responses from experts, how they see it in standard operating procedure.. if the response is appropriate or more could have been done, if the PAF/SAM batteries on the ground were indeed ready

Both sides have done incursions on both sides. Even PAF can do it. IAF can't ensure that it would guard every sector all the time and can deny any incursion no matter how small it is

The thing is mission ended in a failure. That is a fact. Obviously IAF didn't take all this pain to damage trees.

Also how do you like the op 's theory that the when the mirage fled and dumped their fuel tanks in fear , these tanks miraculously and coincidentally landed a km from a Jaish camp !!

Then they are right wingers (like pakistan side also have) and don't deserve your attention.. Our armies may fight, but people should not behave that way... and i have always found good fun between two nationalities when we work together internationally

The location is still not clear, but yes, technically stand-off munitions could be released within the 3/4 minute envelope and those munitions could strike a target much further away.
