First...A FLIR video camera is not the same as an IR imaging sensor in a missile.

Second...The thread title using the word 'reducing' is indicative of an idiotic low IQ mind. There is no way any mechanical construct can 'reduce' the IR output of a jet engine. The F-35's engine placement is meant to SHIELD the exhaust. Not 'reduce'.

This is a 5000 bucks civilian FLIR. The latest Imaging Infrared seekers on the latest jets and missiles and ships are way more powerful than civilian FLIR.
