I watched this drama in childhood. Most of the characters were real life soldiers in PAF.

It was an excellent drama for sure, and the real life pilots who acted out in the roles did a decent job. I think the series was only marred by the cheap graphics and rip-off of Top-Gun footage in the end lol.

It shows you how far we have come though, just look at the dog fight scenes in "Parvaaz hai Junoon" and the just released "Sherdil"!!!!
