there is difference now as musharaf was removed earlier before his tenure completion so he has moral authority at that time but gen bajwa has completed his tenure so army leadership may be divided between standing with gen bajwa or sc

Not in every matter. Where it's not clear, pm should consult.

And the case is not about why pm hasn't consulted. It's about how many cabinet members were present.. and whether the absentees should be counted.

There's another matter.. court is saying that a general doesn't retire.. as there's no retirement age defined.. another thing court is looking into is that whether there's any extension period defined.. anyway, if there's no retirement age, no need to even give extension, isn't it?

All trivial matters which shouldn't have been brought up at this critical time.

SC is really scum. They overlook public/politician cases and focus on un-needed things. Just check their pending cases count...

Hope hes there to tell the PM that the army is bigger than a single individual, and that there are many competent Lt Gens who can quite easily replace him as COAS.

Why? if kiyani can take extension given by PM Gillani no issue for court, Raheel sharif can take extension given by NS no issue for court. Then how come now court woke up either they should give punishment again to both of the PM before this or current pm should not involve in this.

Why? What is so special about Gen Bajwa that he just cannot be let go? Why play this "game" at all and not simply retire like hes supposed to?

If any idiot can challenge a military appoitnment it will never stop.
So if PPP is under pressure, they can simply go to Sindh High Court and get Commander V Corp changed.
Or PML N can change the CGS.

I was wondering out of nowhere, how will a 5 star be beneficial to new procurements , ab aadat se majboor hain, procurement to fauran dimagh mein aajata hai

this is not happening for first time ,earlier iftikhar chaudry also gave same decision against musharaf,I think court only give such decision if have support from certain elements within army otherwise their fate will be like justice shaukat siddiqui of IHC

By default isn't it....? The responsibility & worth to earn those Stars will warrant more than one can expect if served in letter & spirit and so will see a different approach. I am hoping high and am not the one that may disappoint to see little as the same keeps me going for more & more. Disappointment is not the choice nor option. So, hope for the best & prepare for the worst and keep going.

What you are suggesting, leads to a court martial of some possible Lt.Gen that means soon. Good point for speculations
