Excellent documentary by VICE News -- mostly shot in a hospital in Lashkar Gah in a surgical center that deals in traumatic injuries.

It captures the human condition at an intimate level -- it is extremely difficult to watch at times -- the suffering of the poor people is extreme and senseless.

Towards the end the reporter asks the chief surgeon: does he see hope for the future, the surgeon responds: I do not.

Must see.

That's disheartening but situation will not change unless Afghan look for their own interests instead of working for interests of others - Pakistan did same mistakes and payed/paying heavy price for that.
