The main similarity is language. And then culture, and lastly barely any blood relations.

The Azeris and Tatars are related to the Anatolians, hardly in any way to the Uighars. The three Azeris, Anatolian Turks and Tatars are all West Eurasians, related to Minoans, Greeks and Persians.

Their link is sentimental to Central Asia.

And? The Eastern Turks are mixed with Iranian peoples and some to Mongolian. Literally all Turkic peoples are mixed. The Turkic homeland is not in Central Asia but in North Asia.
