DRDO successfully test fires MPATGM

The Defence Research and Development Organisation successfully test fired indigenously developed, low weight, Man Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile for the second time on Thursday in the ranges of Rajasthan desert, a statement said.

The missile is incorporated with advanced features including state-of-the-art Imaging Infrared Radar (IIR) Seeker with integrated avionics, it said.

The first test was conducted on Wednesday.

Faster development of this missile led government to cancel Javali and spike order. US had offered to co develop this missile but drdo decided to alone. We need not colloborate for these shitty technologies. We now have big researcher's pool and necessary infrastructure to develop any sort of missile very easily. India should now mass produce such missile and sell them to needy countries. HALINA, CLGM, MPATGM etc for anti tank role. We can export Akash mk1, mk2 as SAM, astra as aam, Brahmos NG as a to s , ant ship and send off missile, prahar as short range tactical missile, pinaka mbrl, dhanush and ATAGS guns etc. These are world class weapons . If we put up proper support systems, they will rock.

I fully agree. We need to mass produce all these missile ourselves. Give to BEL or private sector through tender. No need to depend on US for these.
