Well as far as I knew we had FN-16 s on order
by that standard its unlikely as RBS-70 is obviously
superior to FN-16. Might be wrong though, will
have to check out other sources later on.

I wasn't aware that other than small arms, BD uses such systems from Europe.

Well, better soon than latter.

Hope we will be able to procure Rafales, EFTs or Gripens at some point in the future :D

Better if EU starts working on a 5G fighter.

but my dear sir its not good to open threads just for wikipedia or qes .an internet user can search all avalable info abut waipons users anyway as you like

wiki was a source. And the thread is to discuss about the sam as BD is linked to it. Anyway if it is wrong there is mod for this. They can delete it. Thanxs for your concern!!!

Bangladesh already has that system in operation bought from Turkey if I am not mistaken.

I don't know about the second one.

Anyways, the reason why I go for European aircraft is because they are of very good quality, maintenance and combat proven, reliable and no strings attached - unlike the Chinese and the American ones respectively.

As experienced with the MiGs, they suck maintenance-wise and costly. It was a worthless investment. And MiG is going to be a dead company. And the MiG-29 is going to become an outdated design in 10-15 years time at best.

Don't know about Sukhois though. But the Indians like it. But since they have good relations with Russia, and an ally, they get a good deal and are self sufficient. My guess is that we'll only get the downgraded versions. The Vietnamese recently bought SU-30s from Russia. They requested for upgraded ones, but far too expensive for them. So they asked India for help.

Also, it's not a good idea to be too pro-China either. Makes us look like a bunch of lapdogs easily pleased with candies.

With European aircraft, we get a great package. It's worth the money - proven and no strings attached. Albeit, we have to look toward to that later in the future when we have the money to spend on defense. A country would always go for the best aircraft and deal, never the second best.

As far as my knowledge we have chinese short range missile which we are going to produce locally .very recently we got zipkin from turkey.
