Mallu what have you been smoking? They already won a lot of muncipal seats. They won more than MNS. In next elections they will easily win more than 40-50 seats in Maharashtra alone. From what I hear they will perform better in UP and northern states too.

In UP Electoral mathematics is complicated.

Muslims in UP , by themselves, count for shit ( as proven in Lok sabha election 2014 ). They are a force to reckon with only if they align with SP ( which has a captive Yadav vote ) and BSP ( which has a captive Jatav vote ). Even after that, their contribution counts only if Non-Jatav SC's and Non Yadav OBC's do not vote for BJP and/or Thakurs vote for SP.

MIM in UP could win 40-50 seats by itself, but would ensure that all parties except BJP ( in case Brahmins vote for BSP like they did in 2007; then BSP too ) collapses and BJP forms government with simple majority.

Alhamdulillah! MIM will be 2nd largest party in India after 15-20 years. We shall rule once again.

Your first statement could come true, but your second statement could not.

Since congress and acolytes are getting massacred in each election, there may be a point in future where MIM becomes second largest party; but scorecard at that point would read

BJP+:500
MIM+:45

Muslim population in India is 14% only not "15-25%" .They can be king makers in certain area only not all.

Certain areas are good enough. No need to be in national gov. Being able to dictate terms in some states is good enough for a minority in a large federal state like India.
