MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia's Rusatom unveiled negotiations with Saudi Arabia to build nuclear power plants with high-capacity reactors, build small-capacity reactors and transfer atomic technology unrelated to energy.

"We are participating in the tender procedures announced by the Saudi government to build high-capacity reactors, and we are also discussing potential cooperation on small-capacity reactors and non-energy atomic technologies," Alex Atkachov, director of Ross Atom, told reporters in a news conference on the sidelines of the Atomic Energy Forum "Atom Expo -2019" in the Russian city of Sochi today, which will discuss the current state of the atomic energy sector and its development trends worldwide.

Russia, the US and South Korea have the best Nuclear reactors as of now, although SK is still reliant on US Tech and some components..Technology-wise, it is just the US and Russia..while China might be catching up quickly..Russia has an old policy not to sell sensitive nuclear technology.. but now it can be changed in this particular case of KSA, and that because of the international competition.. In the latest news, Russia has offered TOT of its 3.5 generation main nuclear reactors and smaller ones as well to Saudi Arabia.. it is to be understood that it is not just any ToT..it is the ownership of the tech as well..but when it comes to peripheral tech like Uranium enrichment, we don't know yet..

But Saudi say they want Uranium enrichment ability like Iran

Not just like Iran, it is an international right when you have your own Uranium ore..The Enrichment tech will likely come from the US.. if not it will come from Russia or China..that is no brainer! the tech is out there and has a price tag on it..
