Did govt not celebrate Quaid-e-Azam Day?

My personal birthday isn't. Go back and reread my posts.
This thread is not about you or your personal birthday mate. You are not that important. I hardly know you so please be realistic and honest...read the thread title.

Personally I don't care. I don't understand why we need a national anthem and I don't like the idea of having the quaids picture on the walls everywhere. I believe there is hadith advising against it.

I do think though, the govt should be commerating the day in an official capacity, as it is a declared public holiday.

It is about our thoughts and how we perceive the situation. I was initially talking about my personal lack of celebration of the birthdays. But if you re-read my posts you would realize what I actually said was within scope of the topic.

So can you tell me what did I say is the duty of a government vis-a-vis the celebration of the Quaids birthday??? Answering that question will answer your question.
 
The Quaid himself would have been happier if the nation didn't take a day off in his name and instead followed his mantra of "work, work, work and only work"
