During the meeting they discussed various matters related to bilateral issues and mutual interest focusing on increasing tourism cooperation between the two countries.

Mahbub also discussed several issues related to wellbeing of Bangladeshi expatriate workers who are currently employed especially in RMG sector in Mauritius.

Anil said they are sincere to provide on-arrival visa to Bangladeshi tourists and will work on that.

He lauded leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and termed Bangladesh as a role model of development.

Bangladesh high commissioner to Mauritius Rezina Ahmed accompanied the state minister.

Because Bangladeshis are known lavish outgoers???

That they are, look at the number that visit India every year, especially for shopping in advance for Eid and other holidays as well as to tourist destinations like Kullu, Darjeeling in the North and Kodaikanal, Munnar and Ootakamund in the South. And this is not just Upper Middle Class folks, this is also normal Middle Class folks as Indian hotels and restaurants serve people of all means. Bangladeshis are the largest number of tourists to India. We are keeping their tourism sector alive pretty much, other than goras visiting from US and EU.

You guys should have arranged for a slice of the pie - instead you're complaining about BS issues like what Hasina said yesterday. Try promoting Chitral area and Islamabad Murree area to Bangladeshi visitors, your tourism sector will revive in no time.
