What's new

Democracy must be 'customised' for Pakistani climate and realities.

Musharraf has made so many mistakes so many times that now people don't want to listen even the right things he says. He had a chance to correct things, to put Pakistan back on the right track, to empower people, but instead he gathered all sorts of same old suckers around him, who destroyed everything.

The national reconciliation ordinance was one of his greatest disaster in which he paved way for the corrupt leaches to return to power. He only did that to prolong his tenure in power which was very selfish of him. He was the guy who gave this vision Pakistan first, and its a shame that all that went in vain due to selfish personal interests.

Pakistan really need to change its political system and may be introduce socialism as economic system in public. I like mayor system.

Or to let a desperate idiot become the PM....

I concur. Musharraf was a capable man. He wasn't incompetent. He was patriotic and had the right intentions initially. We can agree/disagree with some controversial policies and decisions he took. He was surrounded by bad apples, but he should have seen it coming. I don't condone dictatorship, but even wearing a uniform he was better than most corrupt politicians. It's a pity.
