@ TIKI Tam Tam ! I told you earlier also you understand lately. At present we have more than 300 APC's and around 300 tanks. Where from we got it within a short spun of time !!! It is through this UN Mission. As per your's statictics, Bangladesh (10736), Pakistan (10691), India (8935) presently serving in UN Peace mission. Now, if we take an average a soldier gets $ 2,000 a month so it comes to 10,736 x 2000= $ 21472000 per month. Besides we also get the rent for various equipments, transport and all armaments which goes with the troops. Well, I understand that you also have the similar number in the UN mission but considering the size and population of our country this amount is big in our budget.
@ We are contributing to UN Mission since 1988 all most for 23 years but India started on that day. It had a reason too. You know in UN Mission the troops works on Chapter 6 and Chapter 7. Chapter 6 stands for Peace Keeping Mission and Chapter 7 means for Peace Enforcing Mission. Earlier there was a problem in the Indian constitution that their army would not participate in UN Peace Enforcing Mission so India could not participate in many Mission. However, they had to amend the constitution now it is too late, "Kella Fate".
@ We need a reasonable armed forces for our defence. Which we cannot afford through our budget so the money earned from UN could be easily diverted for defence purchase. Same goes to Pakistan also.
