French fries are too pricey..
When they are asking so much for upgrades, who knows what they will demand in the middle of the project..? They have already shown us their attitude in Scorpene..
I would rather take a F-18 than a rafale.. Americans deliver on time and in agreed budget..

If we order new aircrafts say Gripen.Mig35 to replace them, they will be ready by 2014 and we can get 50 aircrafts by 2017. By 2020, we can get plenty of hours experience and we can retire the mirages then. Like the same way as we retire Viraat after we get some experience on Vikadi. Though the case is different for aircrafts, not a bad idea right? You can't let go all the years of experience you gained in that aircraft, inducting new platform will require some time to get acquainted with.![]()
buy 3 sqdn su-34 which has good ground attack ability.
What are you talking about? If India requested it I have no doubt they would BE MORE THAN WILLING to make more money from India. They have offered other offensive tech why not this? The F-35 program participants won't agree with you
I honestly doubt if the Americans would be willing to give the F-15 to India. It also has a high price tag. But a very good bird![]()

If that is the case, why didn't the Americans offer the F-15 variants along with the F-16 and F-18 during MMRCA? And actually, only a handful of countries (US allies) operate the F-15 variants. It is a very formidable aircraft.

By 2020, We will have
300-400 Sukhoi 30 MKI
100-200 Rafale / Typhoon
200 Hal Tejas
100-150 MIG 29 + MIRAGE 2000
100-200 PAKFA / FGFA - ( If By 2015-16, they start production)
- MIG 21 will be replaced by Tejas in phased manner.
1,000++ = 4th + 4.5th + 5th Generation Air Craft Fighter will be more than enough for India.![]()
