We don't have all the hard data how much sea areas, real time data of USN vs Israel-bound ship locations, etc. Look, Saudi shot down a missile fired at the Israelis early in October. So it's not out of the ordinary to guess US ordered Pakistan to protect Israeli ships. After all, many Paks generals have their retirement homes and wealth already set up in the US.
