Yes but not economically feasible

May be india should join Pakistan-Turkey-iran rail project.

India and Pakistan have many suspicions against each other to do joint projects at this point, add to the Jihadists like LET who hate Hindu majority India.
 
Chabahar can't be compared to the magnitude of trade will happen through Gwadar

Some Major points

*Afghanistan trade with India will not surpass anything more than 10Billion dollars even by 2050
*iran is only connected with Turkmenistan through land,because of a population of less than 7Million,forgot about any major trade with Turkmenistan also
*For iran,you can already trade with them even through other ports
*all the transit money will go to iran instead of india(but in gwadar case to Pakista)
*Any major development,be it road infra,rail or refineries will be made in iran with direct contribution to Irani economy not indian(but in case of gwadar to Pakistan)

Gwadar

*China trade with middle east is more than 250Billion dollars and with europe even more and in future will progress to trillion dollars mark.Let suppose even if 20% of the trade with Middle east and europe pass through Pakistan,it will be still in excess of 200-300Billion dollars compared to the overall trade potential of chabahar less than 20Billion dollars.
*Pakistan will get the transit fee,and all the projects under CPEC
*Tajikistan is already funding parts of karakoram highway and prefer pakistani side(recently deal is signed for wheat and crude oil transport to tajikistan through pakistan for 2015-16)
*kyrgyzstan want a seperate terminal in gwadar

Conclusion

*Most likely by 2030,the trade potential of gwadar is in excess of 200-300Billion dollars compared to less than 15Billion dollars through chabahar.
Very well put together . There is no comparison between Chabahar and Gwadar . India is investing in it to counter China , which they can only try . Good luck with that .

Don't what gave you the impression that Gwadar port is the only port in the world where whole world will use it has transit . Due Chabhar port is our new port .Additional to many we already have . Now world will have safer trade route than going through all odd faced in Pakistan . And Chinese are not fools to build you a port and let you to enjoy its revenue at least for the next 40 years . you sold it to China.After 40 years Chinese will push for renewing the lease . LOL Same like Nuclear Submarine lease to India . We own INS Chakra and Another Akula in the name of lease .

For Europeans to do trade, Bandar Abbas is even closer, why to travel extra miles to Chah Bahar?
ChabaBar will increase its capacity and improve . And if thats the xase as you say just 1 huge port is enough for Iran ?

Nice map . Chabahar will help us to connect and have better ties in that region . We need to make it on fasttrack
