What's new

Darfur today where nearly half million Muslims dead at hands of other Muslims

Al-Qaeda is like a plague, wherever it has layed foot, destruction and devastation have followed suit.
Somalia: Mogadishu used to be called the "White Pearl" of the Indian ocean and had the largest armed forces amongst all African nations.
Yemen: Is showing signs of differences between it's population with attacks on military becoming more frequent.
Afghanistan: Kabul used to be called the "Paris of Asia", now the whole country is a ruin.
Pakistan: Used to be called the "Land of Hospitality", now the most terrorized country in the world, more casualties as a result of terrorism than as compared to all countries combined after the post 9-11 world.
Similarly, Sudan has also been devastated as a result of Al-Qaeda's footprint.
You forget that Al-Qaeda didn't gain any true power until after US declared the War on Terror. Only after that were people angered enough to pick up arms.

Plus, what does Al-Qaeda have to do with with those places? Afghanistan had Taliban, not Al-Qaeda. Somalia had it's government collapsed int he 90's. Pakistan suffered these attacks only after 9/11, when US invaded. And Sudan has other problems with the government not talking the people and such.

Incorrect, they were quite powerful even till then but they had not gained so much notoriety, on 9th September, they left their calling card which is quite hard to over look.

It has everything to do with these places, Somalia is an Al-Qaeda strong hold with As-Sabha working as a franchise of Al-Qaeda.
The Taliban were the fighting arm of Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan.
In Pakistan these element truly showed their colours after 9/11, but they were always there, if you remember even in 1998/99 we had a string of bombings in FATA where stores of computers and electronics in addition to barber shops were bombed, ladies cloth shops were burnt down and the Afghan Taliban claimed responsibility saying that they are working to end western influence in Pakistan. The problem in Sudan is very truly a people's problem, the militias fighting over oil are not composed of govt employees, they are normal everyday people. Thus it is a people's problem.

True, they had influence before that but nothing compared to what they yield today.

I thought they only became a stronghold in Somalia after the government collapsed? American Eagle claimed it's because of Al-Qaeda that the government collapsed.

The Taliban were the fighting arm of Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan.
I thought they were also two separate groups. The Taliban are purely Afghani while Al-Qaeda is international.

Well, that goes back whether or not the Taliban and Al-Qaeda are a separate or intertwined.

You are wrong and keep defying the public facts. Osama bin Laden and al Qaida bombed the World Trade Towers in 1993, attacked and bombed the US Embassy in Darfur region in the early 1990s, the list is long.

Why on earth do folks avoid the cold reality that bin Laden is a heretic to decent religion? He is a murdering thug and his mignons have been suppressing religious and human freedoms in Africa and the old Taliban regime. Bin Laden was flatly kicked out of Pakistan due to his organizing radical cells there, check his history out.

It was, Al-Qaeda inspired, and armed local warlords and militias who then toppled the govt...

Al-Qaeda almost never fight, they are an exclusively administrative and strategic body. They leave the fighting to local militant groups who work under Al-Qaeda's influence. The Taliban are one such group.......

Most of the former "South Vietnamese" were Roman Catholics, reflecting the long French colonial empire French Indo China era.

My "religious argument" is only only defined by me as we, everyone, Muslims, Christians, Jews, all faith systems are under violent attack by the heretics who claim to be Islamists, but who don't know the meaning of "peace" and who practice hatred and suppression of men, women, and children, wishing to keep them in "mind and body controlled" condition at all times.

Hope this clarified what my meaning is here.

Is there a reason you're only counting the US war casualties, and not the millions of innocent Vietnamese civilians who were killed as well?

Vietnamese are usually Buddhists, how does that fit in to your religious argument?

So Mr eagle are u tryin to say tht muslims are evil people who need to be wiped out or something?

U posted US casualities not the number of civilians US killed be it Hiroshima-Nagasaki,Vietnam,Korea,Iraq or Astan!?

What I say and believe is that al Qaida and it's terrorist allies the Taliban who are fighting both the Army of Pakistan and NATO forces are heretics, they are not "true" Muslims. They do not deserve the recognition of being religious as they violate all tenants of religion, decency and constructively caring for people and the regional states let alone the nation of Pakistan.

There is no misunderstanding my meaning. I have repeatedly noted I have good practicing Muslim friends both here in the US in my home town as well as there inside Pakistan. I am a devout Christian and practice recognition as repeatedly mentioned on this site that we are all the children of Abraham. See my Christmas 2010 postings in this regard on this site.

You would do well to look at the big picture and the syncronized Wahabbi radical terrorist mis-exuse for and of Islam to better realize the Arab intruders in the homeland of Pakistanis and Afghans, as well as in the homeland of places like Darfur are heretics to Islam which means "Peace."

The evidence is huge and growing daily against the terrorists. But by youg being immature and silly on this website does not contribute to finding positive ways and means to put them down forever and defeat them. Violent radicals who in many cases have good Western and European educations are the most dangerous and disgusting of all the terrorists and they clearly fall into the kill or be killed category.

An old military saying is "Shape up or ship out." You need to get focused and stop dealing in immature attempts to cause trouble on this website.
