looks like you failed to understand me again
there is a loophole in the law that allows welfare to seniors even with the documents you stated.
if what was done was illegal, then prosecute. if it what was done was not illegal, then lobby congress to close the loophole.
and i don't pretend to speak for all chinese americans.
do you understand the meaning of loophole vs enforcement? the fact that they sign legal documents at the time of request to bring their parents in on a resident status which says they can financially afford hosting the family- vs. the fact that INS does not have a method to check on continued legality of that contractual promise for everyone - does not make it it a loophole in the law. It makes it a enforcement issue! The legal mandate of the INS to exclude applicants for immigration who are ``likely to become a public charge'' is widely flouted, since in recent years both the immigrants and their children plan in advance for the seniors to go on welfare. This point is of central importance. In investigating the problems of explosive growth in SSI usage by immigrants in recent years, it is appropriate to distinguish between immigrant and native recipients, because the immigrants were only allowed into the country on the strength of their--and their children's--promises that they would not make use of welfare.

go ask any immigration lawyer if it is loophole or illegal act that can get them deported.
Better yet ask those " your so called loophole claim" using Chinese to claim it to the INS and watch if they don't get arrested shortly...
what you don't get , I understand it as your lack of comprehension in this regard - is that the parents entry is granted on basis of them not being financial burden to the govt! - else they would not be allowed period! lying on a US document is a felony..
A Chinese fella, must have stolen your girlfriend or something, or otherwise this much obsession is never good.
first you don't know what illegal means, now you don't know what loophole means.
anyways, you have your problem, what do you plan to do about it?
my point is to close the loophole. i'm not trying to defend it in anyway.

Yes, I have a FBI profile of Sanjay of Atlanta and this obsession theory fits. He belongs to the socio-economically challenged strata of American society. I can assure you most Americans belonging to the middle class or above couldn't give a care in the world about welfare recipients. Illegal alien's use of the welfare system they are passionate about because of racist views towards Mexicans.
. Dum Ghai, this is not china, we don't allow citizens at large let alone asylum seekers like you to have access to anyone's FBI profile , even on some guy named sanjay out atlanta.
secondly, not only have you showed on many occasions you are not American or in the financial filed here or what was it last time your claim to be making 1/2 million a year in salary - while while while claiming you interview applicants for entry level positions -- that you have no clue that Americans are very concerned about welfare cheats and welfare recipients - else we would not have changed the welfare laws under Clinton. It is after all our tax dollars and perhaps it does not concern you Chinese's because you guys are tax and welfare cheats!
here another information for you wanna be American - right now in the budget they fighting to further limit welfare funds and infact removed the welfare funds greatly for the district of Columbia wish comes under the congressional jurisdiction.
Time and time again we show you to be fraud and lowly wage earner in our great country!

I think that to exploit a legal loophole also is indicative of dishonesty and slippery like an eel attitude.
Not trustworthy.
Sanjay, no one cares about this topic except people in the very low strata of American society.
Welfare reform was done in the nineties under Clinton. Your obsession with the Chinese is very disturbing. Please just don't shoot up a chinese community center in Atlanta.

The US going through a recession.
I think all honest taxpayers should be concerned.
If they are not, then they will mortgage their souls to China!!
Dum Ghai- only a welfare cheat like you, who in all probability pays his rent by being a welfare cheat would say Americans don't care in the face of all evidence again. I even added a link to the new 2011 budgetary ( passed) laws from the congress .. and yet you go Méiyǒu Méiyǒu - or is that something stuck in throat for other reasons?
Compared to everything else, welfare is a just drop in the bucket. No one is talking about it in the US. I haven't seen a single news article about it recently. Think about how much the 3 wars cost per day and legal immigrant welfare never comes up.
