President Xi is expected to take PM Modi to Xian, capital of his home province Shaanxi, to recreate the bonhomie generated by Modi who had taken the Chinese President to Ahmadabad, the capital of his home state Gujarat.

HAB News | PM Narendra Modi to visit China in May: Sushma Swaraj

Wow! That's unprecedented. President Xi has never done that before to any head of state/PM. This one may be the game changer in relations between India and China.

With trade projected at $100 billion by early next year and a further $50 billion in infra projects ($10 billion already contracted to Chinese companies and work underway) including high speed trains, and a likely solution to the border dispute in the near future, Sino Indian relations are set to take off, and how!!

It does not take much for you to get excited, does it. A few PR crumbs and you are sold. ;)

Can you mention some of those Chinese Sponsored Infra projects

Quite possible since Xi Jinping was received in India by Modi at Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Modi's home state. Nonetheless it will have more value for photo ops. However, it will indeed reflect the personal chemistry between the two leaders.

:) We are just embracing him in a bear hug. Closeness will prevent fisticuffs (tolerating bad breath of each is a con; but what the heck lol). Also as usual indian media is in its hyper ventilating mode. Don't take that exclamation mark too seriously

I would welcome Modi to Xian, Xian was one of the ancient capitals of China, Modi will enjoy the trip. IMO, any positive development is a step forward. All the best!
