It's a general principle of how one builds models of the world around us. For example, we don't have any absolute proof that the earth goes around the sun in an elliptical orbit. It's just the simplest model that fits the data reasonably well.

That's a lie. In a different coordinate system I can say the Sun goes around the earth and it's just as valid. A coordinate system with earth as the center is in fact used for satellite launches all the time. One centered on the sun would be a nightmare for the purposes of satellite launches.

That is in fact true ... the ancient Greeks had a very complex geocentric model of the solar system with "epicycles" to model "retrograde motion of planets". Obviously it could not explain everything but it was a pretty good attempt.

Occam's razor is simply a posit that if an observation can be explained by many plausible explainations, the simplest one is more likely to be the correct one.

Science is about testable results, a theory must be testable in order to be considered useful to science. How would one test reincarnation with an scientific experiment?

Let's not generalize I really want to hear how we're suppose to test reincarnation with an experiment.
