hi! i am posting this thread in this section as most of these fighters are , were , or will be inducted in paf and i would like the pakistanis to know the history


i have also asked some chinese friends to pitch in and hopefully it will grow into a nice informative thread


this thread would look into timeframe and prototypes , aswell as possible 'inspirations'


[note , sir p.shamim indicated jxx talks going on aswell with possible sale at 2020 timeframe]

Whoa, even i haven't noticed how fugly the early J-10 prototype is compared to the J-10B.

The J-10B looks so sexy with the new TH engines.

Yep, i guess i may be way too snob when i see the new plane.

Well, the old J-10 is also a true hero of our air force.

Notice the nose cone. Its pretty much the same as the one we see on today's J-10b. This further shows that the change in the nose from J-10A to J-10b is due to the change in the air intake design and not due to the radar (which is the reason regularly given here for the nose change).
