Stock value ≠ real value. China is more focusing on antimonopoly to the big companies rather than beautiful stock market data.

These are the sizes of China’s various assets classes:

Property: ~$62 trillion
Banking: ~$52 trillion
Stocks: ~$20 trillion
Bonds: ~$19 trillion
Total: ~$153 trillion

The total of these 4 asset classes is ~$153 trillion. Obviously not all of these assets are owned by Chinese citizens. But these are the sizes of these asset classes.

I bet China’s net worth is much bigger than the $75 trillion estimate of Credit Suisse. It is probably closer to the $120 trillion estimate of McKinsey.

I am also willing to bet that McKinsey has much better knowledge of China than Credit Suisse.
