May be the chinks were demonstrating it for Pak Navy about its capabilities, and what better way then to take on drowning buckets of Asia

Can be a possible reason.Also now they r boosting their naval presence in indian ocean as gwader port is now operational

as various reports suggests that Chinese Navy is hopelessly surrounded by Sensors placed by USN,South Korea,Australia and Japan,as well as Indian/USN Sensors pick them up real quick in IOR as well.I just despise Indian media's noise about PLAN subs every time PLAN subs come in IOR.But you've to admit,even they've a great "Sub Detection" technique..They doesn't fail a single time.LOL

Actually it is UNCLOS rule, when you cross international SLOC like Mallaca Strait or other's nation EEZ, then submarine need to surface to cross.

And you see this same with Indian deployment.

It never entered Indian waters, it cruised through international waters and thats why no official reaction from India except some obvious concerns

Lolz, I dont know why Indians treat Chinese as 9 feet tall.

What we expect from Indian Navy, that they sink a Chinese submarine in international water during peace time? Then ofcourse Chinese also liable to open fire on Indian warships in SCS.
