Irrelevant Mickey Mouse countries don’t matter to the global economy. I don’t give a rats about Sweden, Australia or Somalia. China matters. US matters. EU matters. When these 3 economic blocs do it everyone takes notice because of the impact. China is the 2nd largest economy, largest manufacturing nation, largest industrial nation, largest trading nation, 2nd largest consumer market, 2nd largest total national wealth, 2nd largest stock market, 2nd largest bond market.

Considering Indians are on every China-related thread and Indian media is reporting China-related news 24/7 you Indians definitely seem to care. India is an afterthought for China. China is more interested in US. No point comparing to a weak and defeated nation.

Yes. Unfortunately you are right. It is pointless to explain technologies esp. blockchain technology to them.
The very fact it took 5 years to create the algorithm and testing is a testimonial to the difficulties involved.
It is all about accountability and transparency. Now USA the world greatest currency manipulator dare not to call China another currency manipulator.
This is unlike US Feds which has digitised its debt creation.
What is so difficult when our bank transactions are already electronic and digital, they screamed aloud? China is boasting, they exclaimed although the news was not publicized by China.
The US Fed click a button and it created 3 more trillions US dollar digitally without any assets.
What is so difficult they may be thinking but China CBDC is in fact an absolute challenging project and IMO can only worked within a strong economy like China or perhaps in Singapore today.
It is not bitcoins.
Even China is only testing it in an experimental stage at few places e.g. Shenzhen.

Whatever, still no one cares.
Indian media reporting on China 24/7 tells me someone cares. Chinese media give a few articles to India and ignore India in everything else. China is focused on US because China compared itself with US, not India. Whereas India compares itself to China in everything.
