China offers to send Italy 1000 lung ventilators, 2 million face masks, 20,000 protective suits and 50,000 test kits.

Italy was quick to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak in China, sending supplies to the country.
China is responding in kind,
China's embassy in Italy:
  • The Chinese government is ready to do its part as a sign of deep thanks to Italy for helping the country in times of need.
  • Beijing is willing to supply Italy with one thousand lung ventilators, in addition to two million masks, 100 thousand of which are high-tech, 20 thousand protective suits and 50 thousand swabs for coronavirus tests.

I must say, China has done very well to contain the virus. I don't agree with a lot of what China does but hats off to them for curbing the spread.

Impressive China. The only issue is that you will never be able to wrest US influence away from European nations. When US saved them from Hitler, they (EU) became indebted to USA for life.

There are some things money can’t buy, and one of them is loyalty, hopefully the Chinese leadership can realize that and anchor itself towards buying hearts and minds, not just pockets.

Considering that the whole epidemic and all the lives lost and the economic losses are China's fault, this is to little, to late. China should pay alot more

The one silver lining may be that eating of exotic animals may now be permanently banned in China.

It's not clear where this virus is from, doesn't have to be from China. Besides, Did China ever ask for compensation from those countries and regions? Viruses have no borders, if you fail to contain them, that's your government incompetency and failure.

WHO PHEIC declarations:
Since 2009 there have been six PHEIC declarations: the 2009 H1N1 (or swine flu) pandemic, the 2014 polio declaration, the 2014 outbreak of Ebola in Western Africa, the 2015–16 Zika virus epidemic, the 2018–20 Kivu Ebola epidemic, and the 2019–20 coronavirus outbreak.

Is there a possibility to sue China? I mean, the fear of getting blamed for the virus is why the local governments in China tried to hide this deadly outbreak for weeks. During this time the Corona virus spread into other countries like Italy.

The origin of this virus is still unknown, it was first detected from China, doesn't mean it originated from China.

Flu deaths up in the new year: CDCFlu deaths are up more than 65% so far in 2020, with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reporting that 4,800 people had died and 87,000 people had been hospitalized. ... In comparison, the 2018-2019 fluvaccine was roughly 29% effective.Feb 21, 2020
It's very strange for the sudden over 65% surge of deaths from the flu this year in US comparing to previous years, US simply just brushes it off saying it's just a bad flu year, but very like coronavirus had been raging across US for months before it broke out in Wuhan and many of those registered flu death may actually be from coronavirus.

Can China and the world sue US for this? it comes back every year during the flu seasons.

2009 H1N1 Pandemic (H1N1pdm09 virus)
In the spring of 2009, a novel influenza A (H1N1) virus emerged. It was detected first in the United States and spread quickly across the United States and the world.

CDC estimated that 151,700-575,400 people worldwide died from (H1N1)pdm09 virus infection during the first year the virus circulated.

Comeon dude....

The virus was due to Chinese eating habits and the climate.
Best to accept it rather than looking for lay blame elsewhere.

Just make sure that these wet markets that deal in exotic animals are closed forever and we will not see a repeat.

It can be, but all possiblities can't be ruled out before the natural host being pinpointed. I don't rule out it may indeed come from China, but what happened in US was strange enough to be noted as well.

Sorry, its not. Even the wild animal cuisine is ban. I doubt it will stop epidemic in future.

More strangely, the genome sequence of this virus clearly indicate it do not originate from the region of China.

https://www.globalresearch.ca/china-coronavirus-shocking-update/5705196

The basic logic is that the geographical location with the greatest diversity of virus strains must be the original source because a single strain cannot emerge from nothing. He demonstrated that only the US has all the five known strains of the virus (while Wuhan and most of China have only one, as do Taiwan and South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam, Singapore, and England, Belgium and Germany), constituting a thesis that the haplotypes in other nations may have originated in the US.

THis a very independent report carried out by Chinese and Japanese scientist for the virus heritage sequence, result are well published for other scientist to study and verify. Clearly this virus origin is more related to the region of American continent.

So do they need helped from "the third world country with backward healthcare system" now? according to one of their elite professor.
They could have done tonnes but did nothing except telling people there is nothing to worry about and still hosting major events when a few hundred cases already being confirmed.

It is almost certain that the virus has not spread from the animal market. Also, the consumption of such wild animals is not very common.
