Since then even after "they stole our wealth' left 70 years ago we have not laid 10 extra miles of track [indeed mileage has reduced] and Chinese are going to do it for us. Basically sans British/Chinese we would have no railways.

The British laid it for their own good not for the good of the population. The train helped them take goods to ports easily, I recomend you read into some of their projects like I have done. It's all mercantilism and all your doubt would go away.

Those are metro rakes. (Besides quoting same news over and over again) Chinese rakes will be just few Hundreds metro rakes among rakes operated elsewhere in India. The thread is about Trains and laying basic rail track and are just elementary things.

Pakistan badly needs double railway track for trains with speeds up to 250 km/h. And there is nothing to be ashamed of if pakistan is getting help from china, that is how the world works if you cann't do it yourself alone the you get your buddy to do it together with you.

What is going on, can't we even lay down the railway tracks, money can be a constraint but skill and technology shouldn't be, better borrow the money and do it home.

Pakistan has from manufacturing become an import reliant country. There shouldn't be a complaint of ballooning current account deficit, when we spent lavishly.

Gone are the golden days about 50 years ago when Pakistan electrified Khanawal Lahore section, established Carriage factory in Islamabad and exported railway bogies to Bangladesh.

We dont import basic train tracks from China... Nor we buy locomotives from you guys.. As for subway trains, its an open tender.. Whoever wins provides it... Or that understanding is too much for you?
