China says Canada has questions to answer on judicial independence

China's Foreign Ministry grabbed a chance to question the state of judicial independence in Canada on Friday, as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's government faces accusations at home that it had tried to intervene to stop a corruption trial.

I saw it in other Chinese forum, and I still remember I had debated with other members here about ruled of laws or independent judiciary or Canadian backbone of the Meng case. Then I guess I was right as the beginning, they are just the same. Call me naive, I actually started to believe that Canada may be different and believe in ruled of laws this kind of BS.

Canada is no different than any "democratic" countries. Canada is actually quite corrupt but all they need to do is use democracy as an excuse for everything. Most HK people have a positive view of Canada but when they live here for a while many go back.
