China's rapid development, which has shifted from "quantity" to "quality," and the word "craftsmanship" has been brought onto the stage by the country's premier Li Keqiang for many times.

In the current era, craftsmen are the people behind China's major technology and military sectors, who are constantly honing their skills to "make extraordinary achievements in ordinary posts."

The nation has begun to highlight the importance of skilled workers as people who are irreplaceable in pushing manufacturing and service sectors to a higher level and realize quality development, Li said.

The award ceremony for "2018's Craftsmen of the Nation" was held on Friday, jointly hosted by China Media Group and All-China Federation of Trade Unions, awarded 10 craftsmen with the prize. Let's take a look at these amazing people.

IMO, craftsmanship is one of the fields that Chinese can still benefit enormously from Japanese. I worked with Japanese in Japan for a few years, and had first hand experience of their dedication to craftsmanship. I was honestly impressed.

I agree.

It is great that China is situated in a region in which great experiences of good governance, work ethics, and successful public administration can be found just next door: in NEA and, to some degree, SEA.

Here there is a Japanese home improvement show broadcast on TV. Japanese approach toward craftsmanship is really impressive. There is perfection in every thing.

China's continental mentality, its no-nonsense governance, combined with the craftsmanship that Japanese are know for, China, and to some extend NEA, is indeed unique in today's world.

That's the reason why Indians can only produce paper engineers, they lack the craftsmanship and technicians, the so called blue collar workers. We need to develop the culture of respect and appreciation for these technicians like the Japanese and Germans. They are the backbone of industry in China.
