I could care less what India claims or doesn't claim. That's just an idiotic strawman argument.
China's claim is backed by historical records of both the PRC and ROC. Even the Vietnamese themselves acknowledged China's claim (before oil was discovered). Like most territorial disputes where both sides refuses to budge, I'm sure this will be eventually settled by the gun (just like this Spratly's video).
