I admire the aggression of the Chinese production, desire, speed, and will to advance against time.. It is as if China has places to be that is how they are building now.. Building like they are late for a meeting

Their Congress/Govt are pushing for unprecedented level of military spend ($768B for DoD alone, excluding other agencies) and of course debt ceiling (by now $29T), again. For the sake of convenience this time they almost treat the two agenda as one "package".Military Industrial Complex wants more money as if the biggest military budget in the world by far isn't enough. They will spend US into bankruptcy assuaging it's own paranoia and greed.
I wonder where your first-hand accounts are from. I know for a fact many expatriate Chinese in the West loath regularly their home country, using defunct, exaggerated, and twisted stories about China. But from those I have talked to, China does not limit the most, most majority of its citizens traveling overseas. The only limiting factor is money. As far as 'university professors' are concerned, they were free to visit and exchange too. However, it's the West, mostly US and its Anglo-Saxan circle, that places restriction on the exchange of university professors. I knew both Chinese professors and never heard of any foreign scholars not allowed to teach in China. So your stories, ranting, are just CRAPS and lies. Talk about globalization by the West. ROFL. Which country started this global supply chain storm by choking on globalization? You don't need to have a normal IQ and above average reading skills to find out the answer. It's just your 'limited' and 'biased' mind that prevents you from learning.
I guess you misunderstood my point. I am not talking about Chinese expats overseas or Chinese national traveling overseas.
I am talking about foreign experts working in China. To them, even those professors on a long term contract, China remains very much closed. Again, I know first hand accounts.
Think about it, if a model does not provide global public goods to others, there is no reason for others to support that model because it works wonder for its own constituency only.
Globalization means openness. Under COVID, China has so far given somewhat a selfish posture. Noone asks free, uncontrolled entry, but even under quarantine rules, those with contracts are denied entry.
That's bad faith. That's a breach of contract, promise. That's where the US/West, with all its shortcomings, remains a better option for third parties. The experience of past two years shows that China's current conceptualization of globalization is scary. It does not offer anything.

People have short memory.
Remember this.................. In 2012. Obama / Hilary announced the US Navy PIVOT TO EAST ASIA.
60% of US naval asset would be station in East Asia.
At that time US had much more advance warships with more tonnage than China. China only had a few advance destroyers and 1 aircraft carrier (Being the last UNSC veto member to have an aircraft carrier).
This Pivot to Asia policy was a direct challenge to China. China said they will take action.
Now fast forward 10 years.... Now does the US feel now ? Do they regret ?
China's stability is above all else. If you think this is selfish, there is nothing to discuss. This is the conclusion and the premise.
How much anti-epidemic materials did China provide to the world during the epidemic? China has not even increased prices.
As for the model of globalization that is different from the Western-led model, my personal understanding of the Chinese version of globalization is that every country can gradually develop and its infrastructure is gradually improved. People in every country don’t have to worry about war. Everyone can live and work in peace and contentment. China will attract some outstanding talents to work but large-scale immigration will not occur.

Qing dynasties also made 1,000 warship navy in 22 years
it was sunk by tiny Royal Navy in 22 days
looks like Chinese never learnt the lesson
Haha, Qing dynasty, why not Tang dynasty? Qing dynasty did cede Hong kong to Britain over 100 years ago, but does Britain still has the guts to have Hong kong today? Glory of the British empire had long gone, you think tank analyst can not analyse this common sense?Qing dynasties also made 1,000 warship navy in 22 years

Why not ask what the British navy thinks of the Chinese navy now?
That never happend. Those aformentioned navies never actually even had a chance to meet, but I guess you are more of a "think tank analysts with British/American characteristics" who doesnt need to learn any lessons about real history before running his mouth off to cope with reality.Qing dynasties also made 1,000 warship navy in 22 years
