You know, the electronics industry in Shenzhen has been lobbying the local government for years to be given part in that, and the Shenzhen government has been lobbying big people in Beijing and Guangzhou to do just that.

We feel passivity from those people. A big chunk of all officials working for OBOR do so without understanding of what they are supposed to achieve there. The overall sense of purpose is not ingrained strongly enough. Were it in my power, I would've been giving them kicks to the butt, until they start delivering more results for that giant amount of money we are sinking into OBOR.

Our trade missions to Chinese industrial parks in other countries include at most 2-3 trusted, handpicked companies because officials are afraid of screw ups, and bad records on their resumes. In my opinion, that needs to be increased by 3 digits. It should be not 10 companies a year engaged in that, but thousands.

Our industry has now reached a point where, if we do not grow more, and not realise bigger economies of scale and access to more markets, we have no other choice other than to close the shop.

Our industry is outgrowing plain low end exports and our internal market. We need to expand overseas as much as growing at home.

I talked about that a while ago, China could create an Asian schengen with nearby countries that are ethnicaly the same as China & with a similiar culture, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar etc.. are good candidtates to ensure no demographic change is done, not to mention this would increase China's reagional influence.

in addition China obviously should terminate the two child policy, not allowing your people to have more than two children is quite insane actually especially since some people are not even having the second child so you need others to have 3 children to balance it out, unless if you want your own people to go extinct.

Look at Canada. They really know how to attract immigrants and exploit them. World's most tolerant country is actually the world's most racist country.
