Our American friend is always paranoid when we try to explore "scientific study". We have offer them cooperation but they rejected, so we do it by ourselves. That is the "Chinese way". We always welcome cooperation but if they don't want to cooperate, then get the **** out of our face so we can do it alone. Like we said before, any states are free and welcome to explore space.

This is good. Last time there was a space race, there were an uncountable amount of technological spin-offs that improved the quality of life in many countries. I hope this time we have one on a truly global scale with India, the EU, China, the U.S., and Russia all competing.

The ISRO website sucks! It's the worst I've seen in a decade. It's so pedestrian even a school website is a gazillion times better!

And apart from a couple of Moon pics there's nothing else worth a dekho.

Someone did mention that there are thousands of Moon images taken by Chandrayaan. But where can I find them?

Mate it's not about US vs China. What the news source is, we have our own doubts over it, not china. Care to understand. I have seen fair share of ranting from this source. I don't know the news home country as I never tried to look into this and its credentials. Whether its Indian or Pakistani or Chinese or Russian or western or American, it doesn't matter. Did you read this article suggesting the UN should get involved and set the rule on mining on the Moon? LOL We spent our effort and money into this and had to share? Did anyone share any resources they got with us? We have to pay market price for everything!

Now we said before that the 21st century greatest challenge to us is securing energy resources. We "somewhat" accomplish that but it is still not to our demand. We need more, a lot more. We are just glad that there is an alternative solution to our energy needed without causing dispute and conflict. So we expect everybody to respect our goal and don't mind what we are doing in our "scientific study of the moon".

I'm interested in the long term effects of low gravity on the human body. I always wonder if the skeleton/muscle structure will "degenerate" to suit the moon's enviroment, meaning we can have healthy lives there, but perhaps we will end up looking like little grey aliens. I don't care if China or the US is the first one to send humans to live there, just do it already.

China just need Helium-3 on the Moon, leading race to the Moon is not Chinese interest.

Here we all know in 21 century - Next Energy Revolution, is the Controlled Nuclear Fusion Tech will replace former Oil Energy. The Helium-3 is well-known as the best raw material for Nuclear Fusion, so if Chinese wanna get future rich during 21 century Energy Revolution, go to MOON & dig Helium-3 !

Indeed... now all that china needs to do is build a Time Machine and go back to 68...

and i don't know how.. with the new mission of NASA to set up a colony in moon, chinese are claiming to lead the race with a moon orbiter
