China is laying the groundwork for war with Taiwan

One country two systems is a joke. Look at what's happened to Hong Kong. Why would Taiwan even entertain the idea? Winnie the Pooh must be on drugs.

Hong Kong is doing perfectly fine.

Nowadays Taiwanese enjoy watching animations, TV plays and games made in mainland China. (Honkai impact 3rd, Mo dao zu shi, Girls front line, 恋与制作人, etc..)

More than a dozen percent of Taiwanese come to the mainland to work. Prejudice between the two sides has been much less than before.
It is unlikely that Taiwanese will pay their lives to fight a war with mainlanders for the sake of the United States.

I don't know why I have such a feeling that when the living standard of the mainland China reaches the level of developed countries, there will be almost peaceful reunification of mainland and Taiwan.(Just like Hong Kong.

Since the possibility of peaceful reunification is very high, why should we fight a war?
