What's new

China has set a miraculous example in eradicating poverty, says a Pakistani expert

China's economic progress since the death of Mao Zedong is extraordinary. It is basically because Chinese culture, once freed from Marxist-Leninist oppression, combines ambition, entrepreneurial talent and intellectual prowess that is really unmatched among ancient cultures. If Mao had died ten years earlier, China would now be the world's leading economy. It will be interesting to see how the unique Chinese demographic caused by the CCP's "one-child" policy plays out over the next 25 years. China is not a nation that facilitates immigration. It's unique language makes it difficult for third world peoples to start a new life there. Stay tuned....

I'm predicting that China will undergo a civilizational decay around the turn of this century largely because of its cultural revolution and subsequent one child policy, just like how once vibrant Eastern European culture of the 19th century collapsed due to two World Wars and half a century of communism.

Bollocks. My son and daughter are learning Chinese and Japanese.

Mao is architect of modern China. He united and westernized Chinese society. He erased the old order and ushered in modern world into China. This laid the foundation for the subsequent progress we see in China.

Then again it may remain the world's most richest and advanced nation for 3000 years like China did between 1500 BC to 1500 AD.

As long as they don't allow too many blacks into China, China Will become the world's most advanced and powerful nation for many centuries.

In a alternative universe imagine Pakistan 1948 has Mao as the Quaid-e-Millat rather than Fisty Liaquat then see how things would have pan out -

  • purging of desi culture
  • purging of all mullahs and no diesel mullahs either. All wiped out
  • all madaris closed down and talibs sent to concentration camps or to clean up the country
  • all elites and social orders wiped out
  • all gender bias wiped out replaced with female emancipation
  • class/tribal/caste/biraderi networks erased
  • universal secular education across the board
  • free medical care across the board
  • adoption of western political philosophies
  • adoption of western dress
  • traditions wiped out
  • etc
Pakistan today would be emerging as a regional superpower. But alas ....

Possibly on the lines of Japan post 1990 stagnant growth little growth in population maybe in 15-20 years we will be talking about another Asian Tiger but it wont be India or Pakistan lol,

Well they could be like Japan and Korea now remain homogenous but cheap labor jobs are plugged in with labour Mongolia,Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries

Well I dont think they will flung in the borders open Chinese like the Japanese and East Asians are not privy to dark skin folks but something needs to be done to counter high birth rates in Africa

Quaid Millat is the main reason why we became the water boy or rentier state for the Yanks and the west plus he was first invited by Stalin but decided to visit Truman first anyways I really think we should have had decent ties with the USSR instead India took advantage of that

There is a assumption that low borth rates equals decline. That is false. It assumes the technolofy is stagnant. It is not. The use of importation of cheap labour stagnates innovation and developmemt. It is form of luddite economics. If no cheap labour is imported it will lead to price increase and that will incentivize hi-tech solutions. My son tells me in Japan and South Korea he saw increased use of robots in daily life as opposed to UK. For instance at Seoul airport there were robots that guided passengers to where they wanted to go. Point being is technology will get a boost and it will plug the need of cheap labour. I think this is where Chinese will go instead of importing millions of me and @war&peace to give them lectures of virtues of Islam.

You didn't mention one child policy biggest problem of Pakistan is fast population growth
I think Chinese schools and colleges are Chinese medium but you want Pakistanis to study in English medium

I am well aware of how Japan deals with cheap labor and immigration cause my uncle who now lives in the UAE lived there and ran import/export business settled there for almost 25 plus years Japan's population has been declining since the 1970s and economy has been stagnant since the late 1980s and early 1990s however hi tech just like in Korea has increased anyways when my Uncle immigrated back then Pakistanis use to have visa free prvilages for Japan same with Iranians loads of Pakistanis and Iranians went back then but Japan stopped the visa free for Pakistan by the early 90s anyways what Japan and Korea does is like what the GCC does plug in cheap labor for temporary basis thats all

Nah he is refering to had we had a Leader like Chairman Mao the country could have been on better track I would used Kemal Ataturk as a better example since PDF Pakistanis fap to Turkey so much @Indus Pakistan Pakistanis love Turkey so much and Erdogan but fail to understand that Erdogan would not swim in Pakistani domestic politics as he liberal by Pakistani standards

You don't have drag me in every other post of yours sir.

Well I gave just few points that CPC launched. Indeed a one child policy would have been intiated in Pakistan given the runaway growth. As regards Chinese mediu you are right but UK universtties are literally flooded by yellow sea and they all are yearning to learn, yes you got it English. Indeed my son has been offered a summer job in China to prepare Chinese in basic English. Chinks are killing themselves to learn English. They know that is key to gobal commerce.

Erdogan would not swim in Pakistani domestic politics as he liberal by Pakistani standards
Erdogan would get raped for being a westoxfied cnut walking around with his gora clothes, gora culture and Istanbul looking like a sin city floating on free sex and alcohol.

You don't have drag me in every other post of yours sir.
Fair enough. Apologies ...

I think it would be much better for you update your knowledge since China has already moved away from one-child policy and has systematically allowed people to have two children..I think a Chinese member can contribute more here @onebyone
Furthermore, you have no idea that CPC has a lot thinking minds who plan ahead and they change according the needs. They are dynamic govt machine which is a lot more adaptable to changes than any other govt on the planet.

They may have shifted from one child to two child do you understand the male to female ratio there, there are more men than women thanks to Chinese tradition of favoring boys over girls how tf will breeding occur if they are very limited options of Females on the market why you think Chinese men are going to Vietnam, Russia/Ukraine, and SEA for brides besides they have gotten use to low birth rates

I think if Pakistan had remained under army's control for few decades without politician's interference it would have been much better than today's Pakistan

Half Truth but geopolitics wise Liaqat ALI Khan putting us intto Washingtons arms was big mistake
