In a global economy the super power status helps in many deals...and not just wars. Look at what is happening in Libya- gaddafi was/is pro china... and all that oil. hmmm

It tells us that, superpower is a stupid idea. Most Chinese people are not interested in becoming a superpower.

Gaddafi has offended so many times in China. China will not consume diplomatic-resources in order to save his. China will not believe his promise.

india would do well not to dream of super power status. history tells us every superpower has had many foes. india should concentrate on economic/industrial development, healthcare, infrastrucuture and poverty eradication. if these things are taken care off we will automatically beome strong.
