Power stations running on coal are shutting down in many countries but Pakistan is bucking the trend.
Its first power plant burning coal from an open-cast mine is now operational. The electricity generated is lighting up villages, creating jobs and cutting the cost of fuel imports.

The tech for "Gas to liquid" is coming down. This is a money multiplier, Pakistan must focus on.

Pakistan should focus on renewable energy technologies like solar, wind, water, tidal, wave, OTE and GTE and if we need even more then it can be backed up with nuclear power.

Pakistan should phase out fossil fuel based power generation.

At this crucial juncture in time, Pakistan does not have the luxury of picking and choosing.

Every avenue that can create revenue, must be utilized to the fullest.

Actually this is the best time for Pakistan to do that. Coal power plant is not free.. so investing in the wind and solar will pay Pakistan off in the near future.
