We, the expatriate Hindus and other religious and ethnic minorities of Bangladesh, living around the globe fully support the Citizenship Amendment Act (2019) passed by the Parliament of India. This is a humanitarian act towards humanity, the statement, signed by eminent individuals and top organizations from about a dozen countries, said.

Describing the amended Citizenship Act as humanitarian, a group of individuals and organizations, representing religious and ethnic minorities of Bangladesh, have said that through the law, India has partially fulfilled its duty towards millions of non-Muslims from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan who had to flee to the country in recent years but could not claim their rights.

According to the Citizenship Amendment Act, members of Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi and Christian communities who have come from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan till December 31, 2014 following religious persecution there will get Indian citizenship.

Through this Act, India has partially fulfilled its duty to the millions of non-Muslims from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan who had to flee to India in recent years, but could not claim their rights in India. CAA has given them the right, the group said in a statement on Wednesday.

I sometime wonder where the loyalty lies of these educated expat Hindus of Bangladesh. It’s noticeable that these groups tend to support radical and extremist hindu ideologies of BJP/RSS etc.

Declare them traitors and immediately remove citizenship. You can not have such divided loyalties given subcontinental history.

If they want to go push them into India or encourage their migration

Bangladesh gets to control and reduce its population by millions at the same time refusing any Indian attempt at repatriation unless their is conclusive paperwork and evidence of a individual being a Bangladeshi citizen

The loyalty these educated expat Hindus of Bangladesh lies with the place they are forced to flee and not with the place where their numbers came down from 14% at 1974 to mere 8% at 2011.

I don't think every Hindu in Bangladesh belongs to or subscribes to RSS/Sanghi philosophy but their leaders certainly are aligned with RSS/Sangh leadership. Why should the Bangladesh govts. extremist control rule be relaxed for Hindu extremists? They could sabotage our development.

I believe the Inter Service Intelligence as well as DB should keep an eye on the activities of these fifth columnists.
