British multi-millionaire James Caan has apologised for trying to buy a baby during a charity visit to Pakistan.
The entrepreneur was in the flood stricken country to select a village to rebuild, when he suffered what he called a moment of madness.
According to The Daily Mail, Mr Caan, 49, offered 100,000 Pakistani rupees for the baby, in what he calls an emotional response.
The parents of baby Sarah are furious at the millionaires actions, saying despite their poverty they do not sell their children.
I am not a trader of children, says Sarahs father Noor Daraz Khan.
I can beg for my children, but I cannot even think to sell them.
Mr Caan, a father-of-two, says he regrets his actions.
The bid for the baby was captured by cameras from ITV News at Ten.
