Britain to build Calais wall against refugees

Well, with our new iron lady, they now have even less chance to ever get here anyway(not like we would have let the in before). Immigration rules will only get tougher under our new government. In fact our new government is looking to restrict immigration from other E.U countries thes coming years. Much less from middle eastern /north African countries.
So this illegal economic migrants have basically ZERO chance of being let in here to be honest.
They might as well give up and return to their countries of origin or try and get asylum in France. Or better still go to MAMA Merkel's Germany , I'm sure they will be welcome there

I find it ironic how detached you are from reality. Merkel follows a complete blockage politics without saying it open.

In the end we all have to make a decission and it will be ugly. Be it in germany, france or uk. Those "migrants" wont have a future here.

Funny days ahead then.

You know this as well. Your country faces the same decissions. We may not be friends...but stand at the same side in this events. Afaik turkey builds a massive wall and even self shooting devices. The refugees in turkey cause massive problems. Beside all hard talks Erdogan knows very well the only option is to send them back syria.

My guess is we will create a safe zone there and settle them there in syria. Their place isn´t italy. it sn´t europe and it wont be turkey as well.

There was only one iron lady. She cannot be copied.

RIP dear Prime Minister.

Of course, but our new iron lady has her own different leadership style/trademark as well. And while they are very different in many ways, what is striking is that both are characterised by a remarkable strength of character and by the ability to command respect among their peers and even opponents. She is a very cautious smart/skille,shrewd but firm politician/leader, which can be seen in the fact that during our four-month, acrimonious E.U referendum campaign, May kept a low profile and avoided the heated rhetoric leaders of both campaigns unleashed against one another. which proved just how smart and ruthless she can be. Reason she is prime minister . she's is not the showy/Rhetorical empt talk type. Everything and move she makes is well thought out, planned and executed .
She even once said: I know I’m not a showy politician," "I don’t tour the television studios. I don’t gossip about people over lunch. I don’t go drinking in Parliament’s bars."
David Cameron are you listening to this?:partay:

She's a smart politician that's all I can say .
THE NEW IRON LADY.

With angel Merkel in German, will be interesting to see Hillary Clinton wins the U.S. presidential race in November, women would be in charge of the Western world's most powerful countries. So women will virtually be ruling the world:woot:

Go May, go May! It's now my favourite month of the year lol.:-)

"Work on building Calais wall to prevent refugee entrance will be started this month, Britain says

Work on building a wall in the northern French port of Calais to try to stop refugees and migrants from jumping aboard trucks bound for Britain will begin this month, according to British officials.

Immigration minister, Robert Goodwill, told lawmakers that security was being stepped up in Calais, home to the "Jungle" camp where thousands of migrants fleeing war and poverty in the Middle East and Africa hope to cross the English Channel to Britain.

"The security we're putting in in the ports is being stepped up with equipment," Goodwill said on Tuesday, referring to a 17 million pounds ($22.75 million) package of security measures agreed by Britain and France in March this year.

"We are going to start building this big new wall as part of the 17 million package that we are doing with the French ... We've done the fence and now we're doing the wall."

The wall, which is expected to be four metres (13 ft)high and be built along both sides of a 1-km (0.6 mile) stretch of the Rocade port approach road, should be completed by the end of this year. ($1 = 0.7472 pounds)" YeniŞafak

the fence look too weak. If they want to build walls, ask Chinese. 4000 years experience building walls.

Isn't it made in China?: .

"In 200 BC, Modu fought a three-year campaign with the Han Dynasty of China, and decisively defeated the HanEmperor Gao (personal name Liu Bang); when Liu Bang advanced against him, Modu (with 40,000 soldiers) lured the Han army into a trap, ambushed the emperor, and encircled them for seven days at the Battle of Baideng. The emperor was cut off from supplies and reinforcements. The siege was only relieved when the Han royal court sent spies to offer the eldest daughter of Emperor Gaozu of Han to the Modu Chanyu. The result of this campaign resulted in Han China resorting to the humiliating "marriage alliance" strategy with the Xiongnu for the next seventy years. After his Chinese campaign, Modu forced the Yuezhi and the Wusun to become vassals of the Xiongnu."

"the Mongol leader Kublai Khan had established the Yuan dynasty in China and crushed the last Song resistance, which marked the onset of all of China under the Mongol Yuan rule."

Wow are you serious? Do you have year by year data of the numbers anywhere?

Sorry,I didn't find a year by year data of the number of migrants, but yes,it was estimated in 2012 that around 500 migrants were spread in small camps across the coastline and that between 200 and 300 migrants were in transit.

Now they have reached 10.000. And it is estimated that hundreds are now coming to the jungle daily. I let you do the maths..

took 40 years for Mongols to conquer Southern Song. But that is result of a traitor Han general plus the gathering of all Mongol and European resources and manpower.
We are off topic. But there used to be 25 million Mongols during short lived Yuan dynasty but only a few millions now.
These refugees from Turkey are not warriors like Mongols.
