BMW keen on introducing lower end models in Pakistan

Vauxhall, VW, etc have great modle cars for low prices. Prices can only remain low if cars are produced locally. To be honest I bet if Toyota LC were produced locally, it would be weird if you didn't see one atleast on every road. Look at the difference It costs around £100K to import a Toyota LC and in a country like Qatar you get it for £20K. Big Difference. If Vauxhall started to produce its modles in Pakistan, such as Corsa and Astra it would be around the same price tag as the small Sazuki these days in Pakistan. (Just better quality).
Vauxhall or rather its real name Opel is German with GM as owners. So it would be GM that will have to come into Pakistan.

BMW are high performance saloon's or were and to some extent are even though they have stepped into family territory with 2 series tourer but it is a vehicle for a certain earning level. they own mini and that could a solution!

Dacia is not Chinese, it's subsidiary of Renault.
Best Suzuki model of Pakistan is no where near to cheapest Dacia model in quality and safety features. Price range of your average auto buyer is 0.7 to 1.5 million PKR. i.e. the middle class.

This is Dacia Sandro, approx 0.7 million PKR with all standard safety features included. What Pakistanis got in this price in Pakistan ? in other words, what government of Pakistan has brought it's citizens in this price ?

how did you calculate the price o.7 million ?

Pakistan is not a communist or socialist state. It's open economy, anyone who thinks there is opportunities to make money will enter the market. it's the stupid people who drive away all business, ask me how?

Only problem is corrupt Pakistani government.
If these corrupt corcs had any soft corner for Pakistanis, they would have brought brands like Dacia to lower the prices & better quality for common man.

That's why they buy a toy named Mahran in eight hundred thousand. A death trap running on Pakistani roads.

The brand I mentioned above, can only enter in this beautiful economy of such a corrupt country after paying hefty bribes. Which they can later earn by squeezing end consumer of Pakistani market, same as Suzuki does.

Those companies who are more concerned about their quality and reputation would rather stay away or enter in relatively less corrupt market like India.

Assembly lines only come when there is huge demand from the public for these cars, The companies need to make money they can't do that by selling 100 cars a year. If Pakistan wants these companies to set up plants then the demand has to be in the tens of thousands.

Audi AG expresses intent to assemble vehicles in Pakistan
Audi AG has expressed the interest via its authorised importer in Pakistan to set up an assembly plant in Pakistan, land for the plant has been purchased in Korangi, near one of Pakistan’s biggest industrial estates, and would mean a fresh investment of over $30 million
The country incharge for Pakistan and Bangladesh also foresees the prices of lower-engine models to decrease in the range of 5-10% if assembled in Pakistan. “It depends on what the government offers us. But I feel a 5 to 10% decrease in prices should happen. With regards to the heavier engine models – over the 1.8L categories – I see a much bigger decrease of around 20%.”
